Mercier Bridge one lane in each direction tonight

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Ministère des Transports du Québec that repair work on the structural elements of the Montreal-bound Mercier Bridge will take place tonight, Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 11pm until Friday 5am. One (1) lane will be available in each direction (counter-flow traffic configuration) on the Kahnawà:ke-bound side of the span.

The Airlie entrance from Lasalle towards Kahnawà:ke will be open to traffic; see map below.

Please drive with caution, slow down when entering construction zones, and respect the Move-Over Law when emergency lights are flashing.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression.

Easter Holiday office closure

Friday, April 3rd & Monday, April 6th, 2026

All administrative offices of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke will be closed.

 

Please note the following changes to Waste Management Department services during this period:

 

  • Friday, April 3rd – Administrative offices closed
  • Monday, April 6th – Waste Management services resume as usual; however, there will be no cardboard drop‑offs
  • Monday, April 6th – Transfer Depot will operate with reduced hours, from 8am to 2pm

 

Garbage pickup service will continue through the holiday without interruption.

 

All essential services will remain operational throughout the office closures. Regular administrative office hours will resume on Tuesday, April 7th, at 8:30am.
