Borehole sampling

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has authorized the St. Larwence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC) and its contractors Groupe ABS Inc. and Forage PB to conduct borehole/soil sampling for investigative work on the roads under the train bridge on both sides of the Seaway.

The work will begin on Monday, July 7th through Friday, July 11th, between the hours of 7am to 5pm, each day.

This investigative work is to determine the strength/integrity of the roadway for upcoming maintenance work on the train bridge, that will require the use of a heavy lift crane. Temporary road closures may be required; flagmen will be on site for safety.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression.
