ALLEGED HEMP FARM FOUND TO BE CANNABIS GROWING OPERATION

Peacekeepers

The Kahnawake Peacekeepers would like to inform the community that on September 2nd, 2026 Peacekeepers dismantled an outdoor Cannabis “Grow-Op” in the area commonly known as “1/4 – Mile Drag”, near the Rte. 132 Boundary.

This comes after a report was taken of a suspected Cannabis grow-op near the old entrance of the Kahnawake Survival School, on August 4th, 2026. Samples were taken and sent to the Health Canada drug laboratory for analysis on August 19th, 2026.

The samples were then received by the Kahnawake Mohawk Peacekeepers on September 2nd, 2026. The samples came back as positive for Cannabis (Phytocannabinoid), which the production of is illegal under the Cannabis Act, as a schedule 1 Substance.

The Peacekeepers then seized and uprooted approximately 79 Cannabis plants near the school.
