Although well-intentioned, taking a wild baby animal into your home may do more harm than good. It is common for baby birds, rabbits, raccoons, and squirrels, to name a few, to be left unattended for extended periods as their parents forage for food.
Resist the urge to “save” healthy babies as their parents are likely nearby.
