Call for Applicants: 2025–2026 MCK Language & Culture Training Program

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke’s (MCK) Language and Culture Training Program is inviting community members to apply for the 2025–2026 cohort of the Tsi Niionkwarihò:ten Tsitewaháhara’n Center’s Language and Culture Training Program. This progressive five-year program is designed for adult learners and will begin in October 2025.

The program begins with novice level evening language classes and cultural teachings, starting with the Creation Story and a Cycle of Ceremonies series. Applicants must be Onkwehón:we and able to commit to the program’s class schedule.

Tsi Na’teiontenonhwerá:tons Awenhnísera office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Tsi Na’teiontenonhwerá:tons Awenhnísera on Monday, October 12th.

The Waste Management Department will be closed for cardboard drop-offs. Regular household recycling, compost, and special collections pickup will occur as usual. The Transfer Depot will be closed for the holiday.

All essential services will remain in operation.

Regular office business hours will resume on Tuesday, October 13th, at 8:30am.
