Call for Applications: Kahnawà:ke Sovereign Wealth Management Inc. Directors

The Kahnawà:ke Sovereign Wealth Management Inc. (KSWM) is seeking two (2) qualified and community-minded individuals to serve as independent Directors on the Board of Directors of the KSWM.

The Board plays a critical role in safeguarding and growing the Kahnawà:ke Sovereign Wealth Fund, Limited Partnership’s assets for the benefit of current and future generations of Kahnawà:ke. Independent Directors provide strategic oversight, accountability, and sound governance to help ensure the fund remains sustainable and aligned with its long-term mandate.

Who Can Apply
The Board values a diverse range of skills, perspectives, and professional experiences. Backgrounds that may be particularly beneficial include:

  • Investment or asset management;
  • Corporate governance;
  • Finance or accounting;
  • Senior business management; and/or
  • Other relevant professional or leadership experience.

Orange Shirt Day office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th.

Regular household Recycling pickup service and Compost collection will continue as usual. Please have your bins curbside by 7am. The Transfer Depot will be closed.

As the Town Garage will be closed, all cardboard drop-offs will be postponed to Thursday, October 1st.

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, October 1st, at 8:30am.
