Call Out for Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission Members

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that the Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission (KGC) is currently seeking two (2) additional individuals to serve on the Commission. The KGC is responsible for regulating, enforcing, and administering the Kahnawà:ke Gaming Law and Regulations.

As per the Kahnawà:ke Gaming Law, the interested candidates must:

  • Be registered on the Kanien’kehá:ka of Kahnawà:ke Registry
  • Be over 18 years old
  • Have no financial interest or management responsibility for an establishment involving gaming or gaming-related activities within the Territory
  • Must not have been convicted of an indictable offence except when a full pardon has been granted.

Experience with regulatory matters or participating on boards and commissions is an asset. Applicants must be willing to participate in training and capable of learning and applying basic concepts of administrative Law. Applicants must demonstrate strong writing skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on the Law and Regulations.

Letters of intent can be sent by email to paul.rice@mck.ca, or dropped off at the Main MCK Office Reception. Mail-in letters can be coordinated by contacting 450-632-7500.

Written letters of intent must be submitted no later than Friday, July 31, 2026, at 4pm.

  • Transfer Depot will be closed
  • Recycling, compost, and cardboard pickup service will continue as usual

Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, June 23rd, at 8:30am.

Orange Shirt Day office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th.

Regular household Recycling pickup service and Compost collection will continue as usual. Please have your bins curbside by 7am. The Transfer Depot will be closed.

As the Town Garage will be closed, all cardboard drop-offs will be postponed to Thursday, October 1st.

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, October 1st, at 8:30am.
