Carly Kateri Diabo resigns after a meaningful tenure at MCK

Press Release

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Carly Kateri Diabo has resigned from her role as Public Relations Specialist – Community Engagement to return to her roots in education.

Carly began her journey with MCK in December of 2021 as a Human Resources Generalist, where she played a key role in supporting the organization’s HR systems. Her dedication and collaborative spirit led her to secure the position of PR Specialist – Community Engagement in January of 2024, where she quickly became a valued voice in strengthening community connections.

Prior to joining MCK, Carly spent nearly a decade teaching. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she made the difficult decision to explore a new path, bringing her talents to the administrative and communications side of community service.

“We are deeply grateful for the dedication and heart that Carly has brought to our team,” said Director of Public Relations Justus Polson-Lahache. “While we’re sad to see her go, we’re proud of her continued commitment to inspire others and serve her community.”

Carly’s last day was Friday, August 22nd.

The MCK extends its heartfelt gratitude to Carly for her contributions and wishes her continued success.
