Cheyenne Delaronde named Interim Director of Human Resources

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cheyenne Delaronde as Interim Director of Human Resources, effective July 9, 2026, following the departure of the former Director of Human Resources.

This appointment ensures the continued leadership and stability of the Human Resources Unit while the organization undertakes the recruitment process to fill the position.

“Strong leadership in HR is essential to supporting our employees and maintaining organizational continuity,” said Executive Director Dawn Marquis-Deere. “Ms. Delaronde brings valuable knowledge, experience, and a commitment to the organization that will help ensure the continued delivery of HR services during this transition.”

Ms. Delaronde has served as the General Manager of Human Resources since May 14, 2023, and has been with the MCK since June 4, 2014. In her new role as Interim Director of Human Resources, Ms. Delaronde will provide leadership and oversight to the unit, supporting ongoing operations, priorities, and HR services.

The MCK thanks the Human Resources team for their continued professionalism and commitment throughout this transition and looks forward to working with Ms. Delaronde in her interim role.

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Transfer DepotCLOSED for the day
  • Town GarageCLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
