April Community Meeting

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke Council of Chiefs will hold a community meeting on April 30 from 6–9pm at the Golden Age Club. Agenda items include updates on Media Relations, Iroquois Caucus Trade Protocol, Hertel Line Economic Development, Fair Wage Agreement/Kahnawà:ke Occupational Safety and Health Law/2014 Labor Agreement (community request), Cannabis, and an open discussion. Participants are reminded to remain respectful.

Labor Day office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Recycling & Compost Collection: Will continue as usual – Please place bins curbside by 7am
  • Transfer Depot: CLOSED for the day
  • Town Garage: CLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
