The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has authorized the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC) and its contractor GDi Georadar Detection for investigative work on the roads under the train bridge on both sides of the Seaway, see map below.
The work will begin tomorrow, Thursday, May 8th, from 8am until noon and is required to determine the integrity of the roads for upcoming maintenance work on the train bridge that will involve the use of a heavy lift crane.
Temporary road closures may be required, flagmen will be on site for safety.
The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression.
