Holiday Train returns to Kahnawà:ke!

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is pleased to announce the return of the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train, glowing with holiday spirit as 2024 marks its 26th anniversary! The Holiday Train will make a special stop at Adirondack Junction in Kahnawà:ke at approximately 4:45pm on Sunday, November 24th, with the show scheduled to begin at 5pm.

This year’s musical performers will include the James Barker Band and Clerel, promising an exciting evening for attendees. Santa Claus will also make an appearance, ready to spread holiday cheer and take photos with everyone.

Volunteers will be on-site distributing hot chocolate and snacks, while accepting cash and food donations. All proceeds will benefit the Kateri Food Basket, supporting those in need within the community. Since its inception in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised over $24.3 million and collected more than 5.3 million pounds of food for food banks across North America.

To ease traffic congestion, the MCK will provide a Free Shuttle Bus Service. The shuttle will depart from the Town Garage at 3:45pm and transport passengers to Adirondack Junction, with return service after the event. For details on the shuttle route, please click here. Celebrate the spirit of giving at this year’s Holiday Train event. For information on donating to the Kateri Food Basket, please email katerifoodbasket@outlook.com.
