Hydro-Quebec – Effigis Geo-Solutions (December 1, 2025)

This letter authorizes Hydro-Quebec and its contractor Effigis Geo-Solutions to conduct an inspection of power lines along R-132 within the Territory of Kahnawà:ke.

Crews will begin operations on Monday, December 1, 2025, for a period of two (2) weeks, between the hours of 7am and 6pm (weekdays only).

  • Transfer Depot will be closed
  • Recycling, compost, and cardboard pickup service will continue as usual

Labor Day office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Recycling & Compost Collection: Will continue as usual – Please place bins curbside by 7am
  • Transfer Depot: CLOSED for the day
  • Town Garage: CLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
