Important announcement to MCK Housing mortgage clients

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) Housing Unit urgently requests all mortgage clients to update their contact information by Friday, May 16, 2025.

The Housing and Credit Management teams are contacting every mortgage client to ensure their accounts are up to date, and to provide one-on-one discussions for clients who need assistance as part of the ongoing Reconciliation Project. Several clients still cannot be reached due to inactive or outdated contact information.

Eligible MCK mortgage holders with special cases may qualify for partial write-offs to assist in reducing their mortgage balance. These write-offs are designed to offer financial relief for those facing unique or challenging circumstances and to help alleviate financial burden. All selected mortgage holders must meet specific criteria and be in good standing on their accounts.

If clients qualify for partial loan write-offs or other potential benefits, the Housing Unit must be able to contact you. The clients who have updated their information by May 16 will have their files prioritized. Please update your contact information by calling 450-638-2672 or in-person at the Kahnawà:ke Office Complex.
