Kahnawà:ke bound Mercier Bridge completely closed tonight

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Ministère des Transports du Québec that repair work on the Mercier Bridge will require the closure of the Kahnawà:ke/South bound span tonight, Wednesday, October 15th from 11:30pm until Thursday, October 16th at 5am. Entrances will close at 11pm to prepare for the work.

Both lanes of the Montreal bound Mercier Bridge will be open.

Please drive with caution, slow down when entering construction zones, and respect the Move-Over Law when emergency lights are flashing.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression.

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Tsi Na’teiontenonhwerá:tons Awenhnísera on Monday, October 12th.

The Waste Management Department will be closed for cardboard drop-offs. Regular household recycling, compost, and special collections pickup will occur as usual. The Transfer Depot will be closed for the holiday.

All essential services will remain in operation.

Regular office business hours will resume on Tuesday, October 13th, at 8:30am.
