This week’s Political Update covers the MCK’s response to the Parti Québécois’ Blue Book and concerns surrounding Quebec independence, along with its continued opposition to further expansion of Terrapure’s industrial operations. The update also highlights nearly $2 million in upcoming recreation improvements at Matty’s Park and the Sports Complex, as well as progress on the new Kateri Island pedestrian bridge.

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Tsi Na’teiontenonhwerá:tons Awenhnísera on Monday, October 12th.
The Waste Management Department will be closed for cardboard drop-offs. Regular household recycling, compost, and special collections pickup will occur as usual. The Transfer Depot will be closed for the holiday.
All essential services will remain in operation.
