Kiosk on Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process for Kahnawake Judges Regulations

Public Safety Division Announcement

The Justice Services Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke will be holding an upcoming Information Kiosk on the following draft regulations: Regulation Respecting Eligibility Criteria for Appointment as a Judge for the Court of Kahnawà:ke, and Regulation Respecting the Selection and Appointment of Judges for the Court of Kahnawà:ke, pursuant to the Kahnawà:ke Justice Act.

The Kiosk will be held in the lobby area by the Caisse Populaire Kahnawake from 9am-4pm on Friday, September 20, 2024.

Community members can seek information and ask questions in an informal, respectful, one-on-one setting.

Labor Day office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Recycling & Compost CollectionWill continue as usual – Please place bins curbside by 7am
  • Transfer DepotCLOSED for the day
  • Town GarageCLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
