The Low-Waste Market at the Knights of Columbus brought together about 200 community members for a fun and meaningful day focused on reducing waste. With support from social media, posters, and local media coverage, the event encouraged everyone to give reusable items a second life instead of sending them to a landfill.
Together, an impressive 832.84 kg (1836 lbs) of donations were collected! The event met all its goals, including a great turnout and useful data collection. The feedback was very positive, and as this initiative continues to grow annually, there’s a clear need for more volunteers and storage space moving forward.
