MCK Announces Deka Moussa as Director of Asset Management

Moussa Deka 2026

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce Deka Moussa as the successful candidate for the position of Director of Asset Management, effective May 25, 2026.

Deka joined the MCK in September 2024 as a Junior Program Manager in the Housing Unit, where she quickly demonstrated strong analytical and project management capabilities. She later advanced to the role of Construction Project Manager for the Executive Office in June 2025, overseeing complex capital initiatives and supporting executive‑level planning and decision‑making.

Her professional credentials include a Certificate in Construction Management from École de technologie supérieure, a Certificate in Appraisal and Economics of Construction, and she is actively pursuing her Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. These qualifications, combined with her hands‑on experience, position her well to lead MCK’s Asset Management Unit.

Deka’s core leadership strengths include Asset Management & Lifecycle Planning, Infrastructure Strategy & Capital Planning, Financial Management & Cost Control, and Risk Management & Operational Oversight. “Deka’s appointment as Director of Asset Management is a reflection of her strong educational background in related fields, her work ethic, and her commitment to improving the infrastructure of the community,” said Executive Infrastructure Officer Chris Stacey. “Through her collaborative approach across units and her commitment to building strong working relationships, she has consistently demonstrated leadership and professionalism. Congratulations, Deka, on this well-deserved achievement.”
