MCK announces improved reporting

Press Release

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform Kahnawa′kehró:non of changes aimed at improving how the Ratitsénhaienhs report their activities to the community.

Firstly, Chiefs Uncut segments are now replaced with the new and improved ′Ratitsénhaienhs Report.′ With a new look, this is a tool for the Ratitsénhaienhs to keep the community updated on their work and portfolios in a more organized manner. In a weekly rotation, each of the Ratitsénhaienhs will have a chance to report at least once every three months.

Ohén:ton Í:rate ne Ratitsénhaienhs Cody Diabo leads off the first episode. Click here to view.

Also new, is the ′Ratitsénhaienhs Monthly Report′ document, which is being introduced as a follow-up to the weekly Council Communiqués in an easy-to-read format. The Ratitsénhaienhs will report on meetings and other activities they participated in and provide a high-level update on their portfolios.

The ′Ratitsénhaienhs Monthly Report′ document will be available on the last day of each month. Click here to view the first edition for September 2024.

These new features are an exercise in accountability and transparency, which the Kahnawa’kehró:non Ratitsénhaienhs have committed to as one of the key priorities for this Council Term.

Other ways the community can get MCK news include KTV, the News Release page, and the Council Communique page on Kahnawake.com.

For any questions at any time, Kahnawa′kehró:non can email questions@mck.ca.
