When unexpected emergencies happen. Having a safe place to stay can make all the difference. The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke’s short-term rental housing program provides temporary, safe and affordable housing for families facing emergency housing situations. Eligible applicants must be on the KKR, be in good standing with the MCK and be experiencing a qualifying housing emergency. The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th.
Regular household Recycling pickup service and Compost collection will continue as usual. Please have your bins curbside by 7am. The Transfer Depot will be closed.
As the Town Garage will be closed, all cardboard drop-offs will be postponed to Thursday, October 1st.
All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, October 1st, at 8:30am.
