The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of a young community member on October 26, 2025, at the age of 16. We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and all those who are grieving during this profoundly difficult time.
This tragic loss has touched every corner of our community. As Kahnawà:ke mourns, we stand united in sorrow and in strength. Our hearts are with those closest to the young individual, and we recognize the deep pain and grief felt throughout our community.
