The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (MCK) Office of the Council of Chiefs (OCC) would like to wish heartfelt congratulations to Dwaine White, who, after over forty-one (41) years of service, announced his retirement effective July 19, 2024. Throughout his tenure, Dwaine has made significant contributions to the community and leaves a legacy of leadership and achievement.
Dwaine White began his career with the MCK in February 1983, initially serving as Acting Program Manager/Researcher. Over the years, he demonstrated exceptional commitment and capabilities, progressively advancing within the organization. His roles included Assistant Executive Director from July 1990 to September 1995, and subsequently as Special Assistant in the I.R.T. Department until September 2007.
From September 2007 to January 2009, Dwaine served as Interim Administrator of OCC, followed by another term from March 2008 to June 2008. His leadership qualities were further recognized when he assumed the role of Director of Operations at OCC from January 2009 to July 2014 before becoming the General Manager of OCC Operations, a position he held until his retirement.
Throughout his career, Dwaine White has been instrumental in shaping and enhancing various aspects of community planning, development, and operational management within the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake. His steadfast dedication and strategic vision have significantly contributed to the organization’s growth and success, leaving an indelible mark on its history.

Dwaine White’s retirement marks the end of an era at the MCK. The Council extends its deepest gratitude to Dwaine for his outstanding service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the community.
