The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (MCK) has been informed by the Ministère des Transports du Québec that deck repair work on the Mercier Bridge will take place tonight, Friday, September 27th from 10pm until Saturday 11am. One (1) lane will be available in each direction (counter-flow traffic configuration) on the Montreal-bound side of the span.
The Airlie entrance from Lasalle towards R-138 West/Kahnawà:ke will be closed to traffic.
Additionally, the Jacques-Cartier and Champlain Bridges Inc. will be conducting overnight maintenance work on the ramps this weekend:
- R-132 East down ramp (from R-138 West towards La Prairie/A-30) & R-132 up-ramp (towards Montreal) closed Friday 10pm until Saturday 7am
- R-138 West down ramp (from R-138 West towards Chateauguay) closed Saturday 10pm until Sunday 7am
- R-138 East up ramp (from Chateauguay towards Montreal) closed Sunday 10pm until Monday 5am
Please drive with caution, slow down when entering construction zones, and respect the Move-Over Law when emergency lights are flashing.
The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression.
