The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to advise the community that all administrative offices will be closed for the holidays from Tuesday, December 24, 2024, until Wednesday, January 1, 2025, inclusively.
Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
All essential services will remain operational throughout the break.
Waste Management Department’s holiday schedule is as follows:
Recycling & Cardboard Collection
- No cardboard drop-offs from December 24, 2024, to January 1, 2025
- Regular Recycling, Cardboard, and Compost collection will take place on December 23, 24, 26, and 27, 2024
- Wednesday, December 25, collections will be moved to Friday, December 27, 2024
- Regular Recycling, Cardboard, and Compost collection will take place on Monday, December 30, 2024 & Tuesday, December 31, 2024
- Wednesday, January 1, 2025, Compost and Cardboard collection will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025
Transfer Depot
- Closed: December 24, 25, and 26, 2024
- Open: Regular operations on Friday, December 27, and Saturday, December 28, 2024
- Closed: December 30 and 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025
- Household garbage is not accepted at the Transfer Depot
- Regular hours resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025
Household Garbage Collection will proceed as usual.
