Paving work R-138 and R-207 overpass area

The Public Works Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that paving work on Route 138 and Route 207 is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 17th, from 9am to 2:30pm.

A local contractor will be conducting pavement repairs and patching on both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Route 138 between Route 207 and the former Traffic Circle area, as well as in the area of the Route 207 overpass.

Motorists can expect short-term, alternating lane closures, with work taking place in one direction at a time: east-bound then west-bound.

The Public Works Unit reminds motorists to drive with caution, reduce speed when approaching construction zones, and respect the Move-Over Law when emergency vehicles are displaying flashing lights.

The MCK advises that the scheduled work is subject to change due to weather conditions, operational requirements, or the progression of the work.
