Public Service Announcement

The Public Safety Division’s Animal Control Department would like to remind the community of the remaining low-cost pet vaccination clinic dates.

Appointments are required for each clinic. All clinics are scheduled from 9am until 1pm (3pm if required) at the Animal Control building (near the Peacekeeper station) on Old Malone Highway. If there is a demand for another clinic date, it will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024.

Prices will vary according to the types of vaccines each pet receives, plus a $10 administrative fee per pet ($15 for non-residents), and owners can purchase preventatives for fleas, ticks, and heartworm.

Please note, there has been an increase to prices for the vaccines and preventatives. To book an appointment, please contact Deidra Whyte, Assistant Animal Control Officer, by telephone at 450-632-0635, ext. 53527.

Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, June 23rd, at 8:30am.

Orange Shirt Day office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th.

Regular household Recycling pickup service and Compost collection will continue as usual. Please have your bins curbside by 7am. The Transfer Depot will be closed.

As the Town Garage will be closed, all cardboard drop-offs will be postponed to Thursday, October 1st.

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, October 1st, at 8:30am.
