Planned Hydro service interruption Friday night

Public Service Announcement

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke has been informed by Hydro Québec that ongoing infrastructure work by the City of Châteauguay will result in a planned electricity service interruption along Highway 138 on Friday, September 26th, from 10pm to 4am on Saturday, September 27th.

Affected areas include Kahnawà:ke businesses and residences along Highway 138, from the lights at the Kahnawà:ke Sports Complex up to the Châteauguay border. Community members and business owners are urged to prepare accordingly.

Business owners are especially encouraged to make security and/or service continuity plans to mitigate any potential disruptions during this time.

To protect electronics, it is strongly recommended to unplug devices before the outage or use surge-protected power bars.

Community members who are unsure whether their area will be impacted are encouraged to check the Hydro Québec power outages website or call 1-877-798-4443.

In the event of postponement, further details will be shared as soon as they become available.
