Ratitsénhaienhs Portfolio Review – Reflecting, Realigning, Recommitting

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that the Kahnawa’kehró:non Ratitsénhaienhs recently completed a Portfolio Review for the 2024-2027 term. While no Portfolio lead responsibilities were changed during this review, a number of updates have been made to better align with the evolving needs of the community and the strategic priorities.

“Portfolio reviews are an essential part of our work to ensure our responsibilities are effectively distributed and that each of us is in the best position to contribute our expertise and perspective to the work at hand,” said Ohén:ton Í:rate ne Ratitsénhaienhs Cody Diabo. “The adjustments reflect our ongoing commitment to serve the community efficiently and collaboratively.”

The following changes were made to the Portfolio Distribution:

  • Heritage: Ratsénhaienhs David Diabo is no longer part of the Heritage portfolio
  • Lands & Territories: Ratsénhaienhs Ross Montour has been added as a Portfolio Chief
  • MCK Governance: Ohén:ton Í:rate ne Ratitsénhaienhs Cody Diabo has been added as a Portfolio Chief
  • Sustainable Development: Ratsénhaienhs Ryan Montour is no longer part of the Sustainable Development portfolio
  • Health: Ohén:ton Í:rate ne Ratitsénhaienhs Cody Diabo is no longer part of the Health portfolio

These updates were formalized through a Mohawk Council Executive Directive (MCED) and took effect on Monday, May 26, 2025.The Kahnawa’kehró:non Ratitsénhaienhs thank the community for their continued support and remain committed to ensuring that all portfolios are positioned to best address the needs and priorities of Kahnawà:ke.   • Regular household recycling and compost pick-up service will continue as normal. Please have recycling curbside by 7am
  • Transfer Depot will be closed
  • No cardboard drop-offs
  • All essential services remain in operation

Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 20th, at 8:30am.
