The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to inform the community that the following Ratitsénhaienhs are travelling for business this week:

  • Paul Rice: First Nations Trade Sovereignty Conference (Enoch Cree Nation/Edmonton, AB – June 9-10)
  • David Diabo: Tribal Emergency Management Conference (Temecula, CA – June 10-11) Panelist: Emergency Management Roundtable – Building A Strong Emergency Management Program
  • Ryan Montour: 18th Annual Native American Economic Development Conference (Temecula, CA – June 10-11) Panelist: Choosing the Right Combination of Renewable Energy for Your Land

All three will return to the community upon the conclusion of these events.

Tsi Na’teiontenonhwerá:tons Awenhnísera office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Tsi Na’teiontenonhwerá:tons Awenhnísera on Monday, October 12th.

The Waste Management Department will be closed for cardboard drop-offs. Regular household recycling, compost, and special collections pickup will occur as usual. The Transfer Depot will be closed for the holiday.

All essential services will remain in operation.

Regular office business hours will resume on Tuesday, October 13th, at 8:30am.
