Regulation Respecting Requests for Eviction Orders Feedback

Public Service Announcement

The Justice Services Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is requesting that anyone who received a copy of the Regulation Respecting Requests for Eviction Orders at the Chiefs Kiosks on December 1 or 15, 2023, at the Golden Age Club or the Justice Services Information Kiosk on January 19 at the Caisse Populaire lobby to submit any feedback they may have no later than this Friday, February 2. Justice Services will also be accepting feedback from other community members who wish to submit by that date.

Justice Services is also calling on interested community members who would like to participate in a focus group on the same subject, which will be held on Wednesday, February 7, from 6pm to 8pm. Interested participants can contact Tara Cross at 450-638-5647 to sign up and receive information about where it will occur.

All feedback on the Regulation Respecting Requests for Eviction Orders can be sent to feedback@mck.catonya.perron@mck.ca,  or kevin.fleischer@mck.ca. Comments can also be dropped off in person to Kevin Fleischer at the Court of Kahnawà:ke offices in the Village area, just a half block west of the Golden Age Club.

Labor Day office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Recycling & Compost CollectionWill continue as usual – Please place bins curbside by 7am
  • Transfer DepotCLOSED for the day
  • Town GarageCLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
