Public Service Announcement

The Housing Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that tree removal contractors will be accessing Community Housing rental unit Lots in the area of the New Development – LOT 106, beginning on Thursday, May 16th.

Selected contractors will be taking an inventory of all broken, dead, and diseased trees that pose a risk to health and safety. The process should take approximately one (1) week to complete. Identified trees will be removed from the premises by a selected contractor at a later date.

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Recycling & Compost CollectionWill continue as usual – Please place bins curbside by 7am
  • Transfer DepotCLOSED for the day
  • Town GarageCLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
