The Office of the Electoral Officer wishes to remind Kahnawakehronon that the Special Advanced Poll for the 2024 Mohawk Council of Kahnawske Elections will take place at the Golden Age Club on Thursday, June 27th, from 5pm – 7pm, as well as Saturday, June 29th, from 10am to 12 noon.
“We have provided two days for the Special Advanced Poll this election to accommodate those who may work weekends and are not able to get the time off,” said Electoral Officer Angus L. Montour. “We are hoping to reach as many eligible voters as possible by providing options to those whose schedule might not permit.”
Please note that persons intending to participate in the Advanced Poll must submit a letter of intent with the reason, date of birth, Band number, and telephone number to the Electoral Officer by the close of Meet the Candidates Night, Tuesday, June 25th at approximately 11pm.
Those who have or know of elderly, disabled, or mobility-disadvantaged who may benefit, consider helping by writing a letter for them to request a home visit. Be sure to provide the pertinent information and, most importantly, their signature.
