Route 132 overhead sign project

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been advised by the Ministère des Transports du Québec that work on the overhead signs will require the partial closure of the West bound lanes on R-132 tonight, Tuesday, June 24th, from 8pm until 5am.  Set up for the lane closure and detour will begin at 7:30pm.

The partial lane closure is required for site preparation, overhead sign dismantlement and excavation of the foundations at two (2) locations between the ramps of the Mercier Bridge and the lights at the Old Malone Highway intersection.

A counter-flow traffic detour will be in place in the East bound lanes of R-132, and motorists will be able to access the R-132 West up ramp (from La Prairie towards Montreal).

Please drive with caution, slow down when entering construction zones, and respect the Move-Over Law when emergency lights are flashing.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression.
