Splashpads open for the season

The Sports & Recreation Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to advise the community that the Splashpads are now officially open for the season.

As the season begins, the Sports & Recreation Unit kindly reminds all users to respect the grounds, follow posted safety guidelines, and help care for these shared community spaces. Everyone plays a part in maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all.

Monday, June 22nd, 2026

  • No Cardboard drop-offs
  • Transfer Depot will be closed
  • Recycling, compost, and cardboard pickup service will continue as usual

Labor Day office closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Recycling & Compost Collection: Will continue as usual – Please place bins curbside by 7am
  • Transfer Depot: CLOSED for the day
  • Town Garage: CLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
