Steel Fabrication and Erection Contract Awarded to Joe Thomas Steel/AJGR for the Multi-Purpose Building

The Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language & Cultural Center and its partners (‘the Building Committee’) wish to advise the community that following the recent call for tenders for the Steel Tender of the project, the partnership of Joe Thomas Steel (JTL) and AJGR has been selected as the winning bidder.

“We are very excited and proud to be part of this important community project and have 100% Mohawk content for the steel erection portion of the contract,” stated JTS owner Joe Frank Thomas.

“We are extremely pleased to have Joe Frank’s company and AJGR come back to us with an excellent proposal and price,” stated Louie John Diabo, Project Manager.

Installation of the steel portion of the project will occur in mid-May, per the most recent project schedule.

The temporary site entrance and exit on the western portion of the lot will soon be complete and used for the duration of the construction.
