Summer Community Meeting agenda items announced

Public Safety Division Announcement

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to announce the agenda items for the Summer Community Meeting taking place tomorrow, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Golden Age Club.

Agenda items include:

  • Land Allotments
  • Portfolio Allocations
  • Community Meeting frequency
  • Launch of Priority-Setting Survey
  • Media Relations – Confidentiality
  • File Updates

The Summer Community Meeting will begin at 7pm. Participants are asked to remain respectful.

  • No Cardboard drop-offs
  • Transfer Depot will be closed
  • Recycling, compost, and cardboard pickup service will continue as usual

Labor Day office closure

Monday, September 7, 2026

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Recycling & Compost Collection: Will continue as usual – Please place bins curbside by 7am
  • Transfer Depot: CLOSED for the day
  • Town Garage: CLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
