Temporary Portfolio reassignments

Public Service Announcement

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that further to the announcement that Ietsénhaienhs Melanie Morrison is on medical leave, the following temporary portfolio assignments are in effect as of Tuesday, October 21, 2025:

  • Heritage Portfolio (Lead): Ratsénhaienhs Stephen McComber
  • Public/Community Safety: Ratsénhaienhs Iohahí:io Delisle

Once again, the MCK extends well wishes to Ietsénhaienhs Morrison, who is expected to return Monday, November 17, 2025.

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Tsi Na’teiontenonhwerá:tons Awenhnísera on Monday, October 12th.

The Waste Management Department will be closed for cardboard drop-offs. Regular household recycling, compost, and special collections pickup will occur as usual. The Transfer Depot will be closed for the holiday.

All essential services will remain in operation.

Regular office business hours will resume on Tuesday, October 13th, at 8:30am.
