Waste Management ‘Let’s Talk Trash’ Open House

The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is inviting all community members to participate in the upcoming ‘Let’s Talk Trash’ Open House on Thursday, November 14th, from 11am to 7pm at the Golden Age Club. Walk-ins are welcome.

This event will feature information on various components of Kahnawà:ke’s Waste Management services, including recycling and composting, and offers community members an opportunity to provide feedback. Attendees can learn about upcoming projects, Zero Waste initiatives, and ways to actively participate in improving the efficiency of local Waste Management services.

Two (2) short presentations are scheduled during the Open House: the first session begins at noon and the second at 5pm. Light meals will be served at noon and supper time, and door prizes will be available for participants. For more information, please contact Waste Management at 450-632-4321.

  • No Cardboard drop-offs
  • Transfer Depot will be closed
  • Recycling, compost, and cardboard pickup service will continue as usual

Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, June 23rd, at 8:30am.

Waste Management services are as follows:

  • There will be NO Recycling and Compost collection
  • No cardboard drop offs
  • The Transfer Depot will be closed – regular Transfer Depot hours resume on Saturday, July 4th
  • Household Garbage collection will continue as usual

 

All essential services will remain in operation.

Regular business hours will resume at 8:30am on Monday, July 6th.
