How do I sign up for the Mass Mailing List?
The Mass Mail Signup is included on the left side of certain pages. You can also sign up in the News section to register.
How often are Press Releases updated?
As the news is released, press releases are first sent to the media and are then uploaded to the web site. A typical week has anywhere from 5-15 press releases.
Where can I download the Onkwariwa'shon:'a newsletter?
The latest editions of Onkwariwa'shon:'a can be downloaded in the News section. The newsletters are in printable PDF format. If you would like a hardcopy and haven't received it in your mailbox, visit the Communications Unit (Old Dickson House) to pickup a copy.
Why can't I see certain sections of the web site?
You may not have the required software to view every page of the web site. For a detailed description of the types, visit the site requirements page.
I can't get to a certain part of the web site. How do I find it?
The web site has a site map that can be used to find the page. If not, you can search on any page at the top right of the menu, or find it through the services page.
How do I know when the Mercier Bridge is closed or any other road in Kahnawá:ke?
The web site has a page that is excluside to recent and upcoming work on the Mercier Bridge and the local roads in Kahnawá:ke. You can also view webcams of the Mercier Bridge or Border Crossing at Lacolle to see road conditions. Click here to access the page.
Why aren't all the services listed on the menu?
This is more of a technical issue than anything else. There are too many services to list in one menu without it cutting off the page. The services that are listed are the most frequent services requested.
I want to file a complaint. How do I go about doing so?
You can go to the complaints page to view the Mohawk Council of Kahnawá:ke Complaints Policy, or call the Main Reception of the MCK.
I was recently denied my band card at an outside merchant. What can be done about this?
You can access and submit a business name who denied your right for tax exemption on the Band Card Accepted List. The submission is sent to the Tax Advisor of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawá:ke, who then follows up with the merchant. If they still do not comply, they are then placed on the Band Card List as a merchant who does not honour the tax exemption.
