Annual $59 Water Fee due March 31st

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform Kahnawa′kehr�:non that the annual $59 Water Fee has been mailed out and payment is due by March 31st.

Payments can be made weekdays to the cashier at the MCK main building between the hours of 8:30am and 4pm. Accepted forms of payments are cash, cheque, Interac, and Visa.
 
Community members are urged to pay the fee as soon as possible. If the fee remains outstanding it could eventually lead to water shut-off and a re-connection fee. 
 
Additionally, rural homeowners who have not paid will be responsible for the cost of repairs to well/septic systems on their own should they fail.
 
The $59 Water Fee offsets the cost of Water & Sewer Services in the community, which is approximately $1,300,000 annually, or $600 per home.
