Hydro Tower removal project update

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community of works being carried out on the Hydro-Qu�bec Line 2 Dismantlement project.

Contaminated soil removal, backfilling, and site restoration work took place last week at Tower #104 on the North Wall. Topsoil spreading will be completed today.

Decontamination of Tower #105 along the Seaway Road will begin today and should last approximately one (1) week. Work will also take place at Tower #90, on Tower Line Road, this Wednesday and Thursday. This work may result in minor traffic delays; however, the road will remain open.
