The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Bush as the new Director of Kahnawà:ke Legislative Services with the Kahnawà:ke Legislative Commission (KLC).
Bush brings extensive experience in legislative research, policy development, community decision-making processes, and community justice. Her knowledge of Kahnawà:ke’s legislative processes will support her transition into this leadership role.
“Chris demonstrates a strong dedication and passion for legislation, along with valuable skills and experience that will make her a tremendous asset as the Director of Kahnawà:ke Legislative Services,” said Lead Portfolio Chief Jeremiah Johnson. “Her knowledge, commitment, and ability to navigate complex legislative matters will strengthen the Community Decision Making and Review Process and support the work of the Kahnawà:ke Legislative Commission in advancing effective and meaningful legislation for the community.”
“Chris brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, integrity and a strong work ethic to this new position, a perfect fit to lead this service,” said Kahnawà:ke Legislative Commission Community Representative Lynda Delisle, who has worked with Bush for approximately six years.
Most recently, Bush served as a Research and Development Specialist with KLC, supporting legislative research, the CDMRP Policy and Procedure Manual, community hearing reports, and community-based justice initiatives.

Bush began her new role as Director of Kahnawà:ke Legislative Services on Monday, August 17, 2026.
