The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is seeking a community member to serve as a community representative on the Tioweró:ton Committee for a three-year term.
Interested applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be eighteen (18) years of age or older;
- Be registered on the Kahnawà:ke Kanien’kehá:ka Registry;
- Demonstrate an interest in and knowledge of the Tioweró:ton Territory; and
- Be available to attend monthly Committee meetings and seasonal Tioweró:ton Community Meetings.
Interested community members are invited to submit a letter of intent to Lanny Jacobs, General Manager of Operations, outlining their interest in serving on the Committee. Letters of intent must be submitted no later than 4pm on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Letters may be dropped off at the Lands Unit or emailed to Lanny.Jacobs@mck.ca.
An election will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
