The Public Works Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that road marking work for R-207 is expected to begin tonight, weather permitting.

This phase of the road marking will involve the removal of the R-207 center lines overnight, Wednesday, May 7th. Fresh paint will then be applied overnight on Thursday, May 8th. The R-207 road marking is anticipated to be completed by Friday, May 9th.

Drivers are urged to exercise caution, reduce speed when entering construction zones, and adhere to the Move-Over Law when encountering flashing lights.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression.

  • Recycling, compost, and cardboard pickup service will continue as usual

Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, June 23rd, at 8:30am.

Waste Management services are as follows:

  • There will be NO Recycling and Compost collection
  • No cardboard drop offs
  • The Transfer Depot will be closed – regular Transfer Depot hours resume on Saturday, July 4th
  • Household Garbage collection will continue as usual

 

All essential services will remain in operation.

Regular business hours will resume at 8:30am on Monday, July 6th.
