The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Ministère des Transports du Québec that deck repair work on the Mercier Bridge will take place this weekend from Saturday, May 24th, 11pm until Monday, May 26th, 5am. One (1) lane will be available in each direction (counter-flow traffic configuration) on the Kahnawà:ke bound side of the span.
The Airlie entrance from Lasalle towards R-138 West/Kahnawà:ke & the Airlie exit will be open during the bridge work.
Additionally, the Jacques Cartier & Champlain Bridges, Incorporated has advised the MCK that work under the Mercier Bridge will require the closure of the bypass road that links the R-132/R-138 West & R-138/R-132 East service road on Saturday, May 24th, from 6am until 2pm. Local residents are being advised to use the tunnel to access R-132 in order to avoid the detour (see map below).

Please drive with caution, slow down when entering construction zones, and respect the Move-Over Law when emergency lights are flashing.
