Mohawk Council Resolution: Enactment of consequential amendments related to the Kahnawà:ke Justice Act
Presence of: Kevin Fleischer (Commissioner of Justice), Chris Bush (KLC Policy & Research Specialist), Shotehra Rice (Justice Development Technician), and Sage Goodleaf (Summer Student), Portfolio Chiefs: Tonya Perron and Ryan Montour
Request to the Council of Chiefs to approve amendments to the Kahnawà:ke Justice Act. The purpose of these amendments is to: Ensure cohesion between Kahnawà:ke laws and to integrate the Kahnawà:ke justice system more fully into the body of these laws; Correct the spelling of “Kahnawà:ke” within these laws; and Renumber sections of laws, where necessary
