OKKR

The Office of the Kahnawà:ke Kanien’kehá:ka Registry (OKKR) is pleased to announce the launch of a community engagement campaign aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of the Registrar’s role and the two laws under the Registrar’s mandate.

Community members are invited to attend the following engagement kiosks to meet OKKR Registrar Mike Delisle Jr., who will be available to share information and answer questions about his role and responsibilities:

  • Monday, September 22nd – Golden Age Club outdoor covered area from 10am to 2pm
  • Friday, September 26th – Mohawk Market from 9am to 1pm

Additional kiosk dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

OKKR strongly encourages the community to learn more about the Kahnawà:ke Residency Law and its accompanying regulations. These resources provide important context for the legal framework surrounding the complaints process and outline what is required when filing a complaint.

In addition to the kiosks, Delisle will be featured on Thursday’s edition of K1037’s Tetewatha:ren – The Party Line Talk Show, where he will speak further about his role and responsibilities as Registrar.

For more information, please contact OKKR at 450-638-0500.
