MCK announces new Director of Human Resources

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce that Shannon Aubut is the successful candidate for the Director of Human Resources (HR) position. Shannon brings more than seven years of progressive HR leadership experience, a Master of Science in Organizational Development, and a Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation.

She has held senior HR roles in both the private sector and the public healthcare system, overseeing workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, Human Resources Information System implementation, and compliance.

“Shannon’s experience in advising executive leadership, managing complex organizational matters, and supporting large, multi‑site workforces will be invaluable to the MCK,” said Interim Executive Director Dawn Marquis Deere. “We are very confident that Shannon’s expertise in strategic HR management and organizational development will support the mission and long‑term goals of the organization.”

Shannon is also strongly committed to cultural sensitivity, inclusive practices, and community‑focused leadership. She begins her new position today – Monday, March 23rd.

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that all its administrative offices will be closed for Rotiio’ténion Raonenhnísera, Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.

Service Schedule for Labor Day:

  • Recycling & Compost CollectionWill continue as usual – Please place bins curbside by 7am
  • Transfer DepotCLOSED for the day
  • Town GarageCLOSED – All cardboard drop-offs postponed to Tuesday, September 8th

 

All essential services will remain in operation. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:30am.
