Public Safety Division Announcement

The Animal Control Department of the Public Safety Division wishes to address the hazards of interfering with local wildlife, namely disturbing or removal of baby animals. Although well-intentioned, taking a wild baby animal into your home may do more harm than good. It is common for baby birds, rabbits, raccoons, and squirrels, to name a few, to be left unattended for extended periods as their parents forage for food.

Resist the urge to “save” healthy babies as their parents are likely nearby.

Please be aware that Animal Control′s primary responsibility is to ensure public safety and manage domestic animals. Our capacity to handle wildlife is limited.
